Duaner Sanchez Out For Season

Duaner Sanchez, one of the game's best setup men, is out for the season after separating his shoulder in a car accident, according to Ken Rosenthal.  I'm just glad to see he is OK.

Omar Minaya has 51 minutes to step it up and find a replacement.  I think MetsBlog caught wind of this shortly after midnight.

MLB TRADE UPDATE FROM JAYSON STARK
Mets are closing in on a big deal with the Pirates, for Roberto Hernandez and Oliver Perez. Still haggling about the rest of that deal.

This probably ends all speculation of Aaron Heilman getting traded. I would assume that Minyana will be able to get a servicable reliver in August if he cant get anyting done before 3pm today.

-ok I have to go drop Sanchez in my fanasy league now, Adam Wainright anyone?

The Mets get Roberto Hernandez and Oliver Perez. The Pirates get Xavier Nady in exchange.
