« Carroll: Astros-Rangers Trade? | Main | Soriano Suitors Down To Two »
I don't have the details yet, but it appears leadoff hitter Lastings Milledge was pulled from the Norfolk Tides game tonight after one at-bat (a strikeout). Does that mean he's Oakland-bound? I'll look into it.
UPDATE: Never mind, he was ejected. False alarm.

Milledge sucks... another fucking strikeout. May he be traded for Livan Hernandez and God save the Mets.

Roto, have you heard anything about a rumor that would send Zito to the Braves? I have heard that they are close to a Scott Thorman and Marcus Giles for Barry Zito and some 3B prospect. I would make sense because they need pitching and JS does like to keep his trade talks from the media

*scoffs at Braves' trade proposal*
Milledge may suck, but he's sure as hell better than those two chumps.

Why haven't we heard anything about Flash Gordon? Certainly the Phillies don't still think they need him.
Posted by: Woofter | July 30, 2006 at 10:05 PM
it wont happen, why would they do this? they dont have a shot at resigning him...they would be giving up players for a rental and a better shot at the wild card...and why would the A's want ANOTHER 2b..?
its bs, some made up rumor

So was Ruben Mateo and he's Milledge's #1 comp. PASS.
How does anyone think this tiny man with no plate coverage will ever be a legit outfielder? Baffling.

loretta for lugo might be going down soon
Posted by: man ram is the man | July 30, 2006 at 10:23 PM
WOW, 1 guy makes 1 comparison of him to ruben mateo and now milledge is gonna be a bust like him. you are an idiot dude, everyyyy prospect list has him in the top 8, you dont get there by sucking, scouting these days is better than when "ruben mateo" was in the minors.
wow, that theory is pretty funny, but, in the end, you FAIL.

Will's Mill: Heilman for Marquis swap a possibility. Met's Fans, why don't the Mets start Heilman?

Why would the Devil Rays do Lugo for Loretta?
Posted by: nom3k | July 30, 2006 at 10:28 PM
cuz he sucks, =)
naw but seriously, think about it, he DOMINATED in the bullpen last year, but blew as a starter, when he is pitching well he is a great reliever and an integral part to our bullpen success.
plus we have about 76038032832 starters

IFF that trade goes down, i'm going to take Minaya's balls.

Heard the Zito stuff, but only on a message board.
Posted by: RotoAuthority | July 30, 2006 at 10:37 PM
an A's fan said he heard it on the radio
Posted by: was385 | July 30, 2006 at 10:39 PM
the reason that zito is NOT going to the mets is because minaya said he would NOT include Milledge
Posted by: was385 | July 30, 2006 at 10:40 PM
Stark report: Mets interested in Schmidt. Minaya adamant about not giving up Milledge or Heilman.
