Teams Willing To Give Meche Four Years

Four years of Gil Meche?  Awww yeah, sign me up.  What's next, a brand newish 2005 Chevy Malibu??

Yahoo's Tim Brown lists the Blue Jays, Cubs, Mariners, Orioles, and Giants as teams willing to take it to 2010 for Meche.  The last three are news to me.

UPDATE:  John Hickey of the Seattle P.I. names the White Sox and Mets as two other interested parties.

Blue Jays, Cubs, Mariners, Orioles, and Giants as teams willing to take it to lose their GMs by 2008.

The fact that Gil Meche continues to exist makes me ill.

The Jays need a pitcher bad, and there are no other options. But Meche sucks. He has a career +5 ERA on the road.

Why would the White Sox be interested? Maybe KW has two potential deals for 2 of the current starters lined up, and Meche would round out the rotation again?

It is strange....

Wat about...Garcia to the mets for milledge.

Trade milledge and Buehrle to the Blue Jays for Wells.

Sign Meche.

Rotation:
1. Garland
2. Contreras
3. Vazquez
4. McCarthy
5. Meche

Lineup:
1. Pods
2. Iguchi
3. Wells
4. Thome
5. Dye
6. Konerko
7. Crede
8. Anderson
9. Uribe

That is the 2nd best lineup in the majors (behind nyy) and they certainly have a better rotation than nyy so I think with that they would be front runner for the AL berth into the world series.

You'd have to bump Anderson from that lineup, and replace him with Pierzynski, making it even better.
