« Dye To Boston May Be Dead; Extension Coming? | Main | Padres Interested In Igawa, Lamb, Loretta »
ESPN's Jayson Stark says the Dodgers are "actively exploring" a trade for Cardinals reliever Troy Percival. It would apparently require a mid-level prospect. Percy would be a consolation prize after the Dodgers missed on Octavio Dotel; really, he's not much worse.

It's a little late to be considering, no?
I always kind of pictured GMs at the deadline like all the stock exchange guys in the World Trade Center in the movie "Trading Places" I think it was called...you know, the one with Eddie Murphy?

If Percival is available, does this mean the Cards aren't looking to defend their world title? *snicker*
But seriously, yeah, little late in the game to be considering anything. Need to start making some moves, LA!

Maybe they'll trade Frozen Concentrated Orange Juice for Percival, buehrlebro...
It seems like a good plan for LA, just wondering who'd they give up. It'll be interesting to see what happens when the dust settles.

Oh this could be such a slap to the Angels. Would be a great deal just to cause more problems in that cross-town bickering...
... but I do think Cleveland will probably get Percy if he's dealt.
