Would Coco be willing to move to LF or can Ellsbury play there? I think the Red Soxs should just trade Manny and get what you can for him, they would get some good talent in return. Maybe the Dodgers are suitors?

Why would the Dodgers trade for Crisp? Colletti, for whatever reason, actually likes Juan Pierre. And even if he did suddenly fall out of love with Pierre, he could just sign one of the four big free agent centerfielders.

Curgle, I think you read that wrong. Barroid is suggesting the Sox trade MANNY to the Dodgers. As good as Manny is, I hope the Dodgers don't trade away their talented prospects for a player on the decline.

Well then... my apologies Mr. Barroid.

I think the Dodgers will go into next season with Kemp.Either and Pierre, seems like their combination now too.
Dodgers probably need to trade some talent to get what they really need, another bat. Third base would seem to be a good choice.
I just don't think the Sox will go into next season (Red Sox) with both Crisp and Ellsbury, seems to me that talent could get the Sox something better than having one of them on the bench

I have a hard time believing that there is a strong trade market for Coco. For the last 2 years Coco has put together a .270/.330/.387 line. He does steal you 20-25 bases and plays solid defense.
That being said, those numbers aren't anything spectacular. His OPS this year is the 3rd worst for CF's in the AL (ahead of an injured Wells and the more speedy Patterson). In fact, across the board Patterson is almost the statistical equivalent. He's a FA this year and will probably cost as much as Coco ($4-$5m).
Teams might want to try Patterson first before trading away the farm system for Coco.

I'd trade Pierre for Crisp, in fact I'd trade Pierre for a bag of peanuts. I wanna strangle a cat each time I see his tiny head up to bat.

Chillin, any Dodger fan would love to see Pierre go. But there isn't a GM dumb enough to take on that horrible contract, even if the Dodgers ate a year. Kemp, Pierre,Ethier looks like outfield for LA next year. Although I could see Ethier getting traded, especially if the Dodgers get that big bat in return. Plus, Delwyn Young is waiting in the wings.

I could see the Dodgers making a push for next year. Trade Andre Either for Dontrelle Willis. Then trade Jonathan Meloan or Clayton Kershaw for Manny Ramirez. And still go out and try to find a power 3rd basemen bat (Eric Chavez) even though he isn't much of a power threat but still has a decent glove at 3rd.

Personally, as a somewhat Sox fan, they should trade Manny and move Coco to LF (he played LF in cleveland while Size was in CF). Manny to LA for some good prospects, hopefully Broxton. Then replace manny with A-Rod and resign Schilling. They are under their 2007 payroll because A-Rod- Manny = 10 million, but Lowell = 9 million and Clement = 9 as well.
They could look like:
Varitek
Youkilis
PEdroia
Lugo
A-Rod
Coco
Ellisbury
Drew
Ortiz
same rotation (mb Buccholtz is in it)
Pen is the same with Broxton instead of Gagne

I know they say that September call-ups aren't the best indication of what a player will eventually be, but it's hard to not be impressed with what Ellsbury has done when injected right in the middle of a pennant race. It's clear to me that Ellsbury is a more dynamic player than Crisp, and I'm quite positive Crisp will get dealt before spring training.
No way in my mind that the Sox will find a taker for Ramirez in the offseason. He's really shown his age this year and I think it's a pipe dream to imagine a team would send a player like Broxton for one year and $20M of Manny. If the Sox trade Manny and don't go after A-Rod while keeping Ellsbury and Coco, the club won't have adequate offense, which was problem enough this year.
Anyway, I think there will be a decent market for Crisp because Minnesota, Atlanta, Florida and Chicago (AL) may all be in need of a CF next season. I feel confident that the Red Sox can get a decent return for Crisp and move forward with Ellsbury.

As bad as Ned Colletti is, why would he trade a young stud like Broxton for a player in his twilight like Manny? The Dodgers won't trade their future closer. If they trade anyone, it will be at a position in which they have a large surplus. Takashi Saito should be back next year, which will give Broxton at least one more year of grooming.

JakeOD21 you could take Florida off that list Crisp is too much money for them. But I could see Atlanta offering something decent for him.

Ellsbury is in LF tonight against washed up Roger Clemens
