The bullpen is so bad that they probably should exercise Guardados option.

They could probably snag a solid reliever from the Jays for Keppinger or Gonzalez. Maybe Downs or Frasor.

Looks like the Reds will have a busy week of decisions to make. I say keep Dunn and Valentine. Let Edde go he didn't do too much to impress me even though he only pitched a short time but he is pretty old. As far as Hatteberg sign him to be a leader and mentorto Votto. The guy is a good clutch hitter and has decent skills all around.
Dunn option is definatey the most interesting I have to agree.

If Hatteburg or Votto were a right handed hitter I would pick up the option. Since both are lefties I'm not for sure. If I picked it up I would most certainly deal one of them before the season started. Going into the year with two lefty 1B's isn't a good idea. Especially when you have a righty as well in Cantu.
Not only do I pick up Dunn's option I work towards extending him. he showed me alot last year and I was already a fan.

Dear Reds Fans,
Have fun with Double Switch Dusty next year. He obviously still can't learn from his past even if the interest in Prior and Wood is a rumor, most rumors come from a small bit of truth.
I do think for the right price both of them are huge risk/reward type players for '08 no matter where they end up or if they stay in Chicago.
What is your guys rotation looking like for '08?
Harang
Arroyo
Bailey
Belisle??
???
To me that is a decent 1-3 combo, especially stacked up against the rest of the division...possibly the best in the NL Central right now. So I would say the Reds bullpen has more to gain than the rotation by signing Wood and not Prior if it is one or the other.
Also, do you guys see Dunn coming back or the Reds buying him out?

I see Dunn coming back. He has too much value as a HR hitter or trade bait to buy him out for half a mil. I say Dunn will stay and Griffey will be traded. Or Griffey and Dunn might both go if they can get enough out of those deals. Wherever A-Rod lands will affect this. The cubs have had some interest in Griffey and the Angels have expressed interest in Dunn in the past. If A-rod doesn't land either of those palce they will be in the market. With Hopper, Freel, Hamilton, Dunn, Griffey and Bruce all ready to play, somebody has to go.
