Was not aware IGN had a dedicated sports section - seems weird for a video game company.

this is really starting to piss me off... when's Kendry Morales going to get some freaking playing time? The guy's a monster! Trade Rivera and let Morales play left field.

IGN is an entertainment company, not just games. They have LOTS of sites. I wasn't aware of the sports either, but they do have a pretty wide range of stuff.

"Rocco Baldelli has a rare muscle condition that does not allow his body to recover after a short workout."
Yeah, it's called not being on steroids.

How friggin' young are you, Dieker? Jesus, I feel old! BTW, nice job on that Delmon Young deal, Rays! We're loaded with young pitching in the minors and have a 20-something with the body of a 90 year old man in the OF, so let's trade a virtual lock to be a future star in our OF (who, with Crawford and Upton could have turned into one of the best in the game) for a No. 3 who doesn't like to throw secondary pitches...just FBs. Awesome- make the deal!

"Yeah, it's called not being on steroids."
It would be pretty interesting if steroids were what his doctor prescribes to overcome his condition.

Oops, meant Dierkes.

that's a very italian-themed headline. (i know salcedo isn't, but just go with it.)

I think its safe to say Juan Rivera is not an Italian name either... :-/

That is a great book. It's worth reading alone for Jeff Torborg's train wreck managerial style.

"How friggin' young are you, Dieker? Jesus, I feel old!"
...Exactly how I feel!
Oh man do I remember that team though...

Oh man do I remember that team though... And actually, it probably should be a 2-part book entitled “the Worst TEAMS money can buy” ~ with the second part covering the Dodgers from the same year. That LA club was just as much (if not more) of a joke, with probably more issues… firecracker anyone?
PS, we really, really, really need someone to just shoot Boras and get it over with. The Salcedo thing has been going on for 3 months. 3 Months for a 16 YO who Boras feels should get like a 6.5M bonus! *Sigh*...

err, sorry about the doubling up on some of that one ~ type key's insisting on logging me out sometimes presents Copy/Paste issues...

River IS a FA after this year. He has 5+ years of service time. I have no idea why they say he's with them for 2 more years.

hey, chicagobubbleblog,
Delmon Young was a cancer in the locker room and you forgot who else we got besides matt garza. Oh yeah only the 5th best shortstop in the league as rated in many publications. Go check out that fielding percentage, then check the percentages of previous shortstops we've had. Who were they going to start this year? Ben Zobrist? pssshhh

Good luck Rocco hope you are back soon. Couldn't be a better guy in the game.
