Strange to see Jerome Williams already out of the game after a strong start and being only 26. He pitched well enough for the Cubs in '05.
As Bruce Dickinson would insist, I need more Linden!

How often have we heard this he said/they said stuff where a team alleges the player wanted x amount of years/money and the player denies it? I'm never sure who to believe but I'm always inclined to believe the club, picturing the agent (perhaps overly optimistically) approaching the team with an ambitious proposal and the team doesn't even respond, moving on and leaving the player to claim he was never offered anything.
Given LoDuca's age and other issues, the guy should hardly feel like he's a hot commodity or that the Mets did him wrong. For a guy to say he took steroids and is sorry on the one hand while complaining that he wasn't wanted on the other seems to show a real disconnect in what his value truly is.

the astros should sign jerome williams to a 5 yr/72 million dollar contract and just try to pass him off as a "hometown boy"...then he could party with woody williams and doug brocail or bourn or berkman or something

What right does Lo Duca have to complain?
Embarrassing public divorce proceedings with the revelation that he was banging a 19 year old while married to his wife...
Steroid allegations...
Get over it and enjoy your $5 Million you're getting this year...

Jerome had a horrible work ethic, a horrible diet and a bad attitude and would not listen to coaches on how to prepare for a game or how to pitch. Age means nothing. I am not suprised he is out of the game.

MVP baseball is a better game than RBI, it's just that RBI popped my video game baseball cherry, so it will always have a soft spot in heart...

RBI is the best, hands down. I love the 2003 playoff update, in which the Cubs win all 4 NLCS games with scores like 23-4 and 19-2.

i have a couple cardinal rules(haha im funny) about sports. u dont want the white basketball player on your team and u dont want the black pitcher. theres always a dwight gooden or larry bird but way too many keith van horns or dewon brazeltons.
