It's a bummer Giants had so many OF that Rajai didn't get a chance. He is a decent 4th OF with rediculous speed. Either way, it got us out of Morris contract so we win.

Well Mr.Klesko had a nice career, especially when he was with the Atlanta Braves.
If I were the Athletics, I would want a short extension with Street

Hey, great ... now Klesko's got more time to do his cracker-ass hunting show. Good for him.

While I think that it's mildly disappointing that the Giants let go Davis, I think it's good in the whole scheme of things. I mean they got him really for the salary dumping of Matt Morris (an underrated but completely obvious good move by Sabean), so any value they got from him was like icing on the cake.
Also, I think its a testament to the team committing to giving Fred Lewis serious at bats. With Rowand in center and Roberts and Winn on the corners, there just weren't enough at bats for Lewis and Davis. Lewis has been looking great though, and I expect him to be one of the three best hitters on that team this year, with Molina and Rowand. Sabean really screwed up though by giving Winn and Roberts deals through 2009. The Giants could (should) have had an outfield of Lewis in left, Rowand in center and Schierholtz in right, but now they're stuck with the mediocre and overpaid Winn and Roberts.

I'd like to see the Marlins claim Davis. If they're not going to sign big contracts, they should start adding guys like him as they become available, like they did with the third base situation this spring. Any whispers about that?
(Don't let the username fool you. I'm a Marlin too.)
