Someone on the Sabernomics blog made a great point. How come the Yanks can sign Sidney Ponson with all of his drama, but not Barry? I'll carry his point further.

Why was Latrell Sprewell able to rehabilitate himself after choking his coach? Why is Pacman Jones still employed? I think nrmax pointed out that Pacman actually slammed a stripper's head through a wall. In my book, that's worse than taking steroids.

Face it, MLB is colluding to keep Bonds out. There's no way someone wouldn't have signed him for league minimum by now.

Any Braves fans want to see them take a chance to maybe jump start their sorry offense this year by signing him? I sure do.

Forget Aaron, I could care less about that. Thats the past and this is now. Bonds could legitimately help this club get their offense going. Yeah he's a liability in the field, but at this point the Braves have to do something drastic. And if he's willing to sign for league minimum this isnt a very big risk that could have a huge reward if he can still hit.

Braves management needs to quit worrying about whether it will hurt the fans feelings and just pull the trigger to give them a shot this year.
