The Yankees were 31-31 this time last year and made the playoffs. The Indians are 30-35 their exW-L is 34-31. They are 7.5 back of the CHW who are playing out of their minds. At 37-27 they are actually under what their exW-L is at 39-25.

I just can't see the Chicago White Sox holding off the Indians over the next 99 games. Danks and Floyd cannot possibly pitch this well over the rest of the year. Linebrink is pitching out of his mind, etc etc. It can't hold up.

Indians are playing under their expected record

White Sox are playing under their expected record

White Sox are 7.5 games up

Advantage Indians

ANd now V-Marts injured. The Tribe officially is propelled by shin-soo choo

I agree, that guy is a turd. He finds Cano tradable.

Ok... looking at Abraham's offering. Kennedy, a guy who doesn't really have dominating stuff and has a ceiling as a back end starter. Tabata, I'll give he's a credible prospect, however he's taken a step back in AA, may need a couple more years polishing. And Betances, the guy who rocketted down the prospect list after last year. Yeah... not buying it. If I was Shapiro I'd wait and take the draft picks.

If the Yankees want Sabathia, really want Sabathia, The bid really needs to start with Jackson and Horne with another prospect thrown in.

Marlins designated Jacque Jones after tonights game... anybody going to take him?

trade him for d-train

"If the Yankees want Sabathia, really want Sabathia, The bid really needs to start with Jackson and Horne with another prospect thrown in."

So if the Yankees want to take away the ace pitcher from a team attempting to contend for a title they need to start a trade with a tolerable OF prospect, a bad RP prospect and a throw in?

Put another way could the Red Sox get C.C. Sabathia for Brandon Moss, Bryan Corey and a throw in?

that's a terribly wrong comparison

still not good enough

Funny I see that as a completely accurate judge of talent, apparently you just see things incorrectly. Understandable being a W-Sox fan.

We're talking about CC Sabathia here, the reigning Cy Young winner and a very consistant force year in year out. And don't give me the "he's in bad shape" argument, he's never been hurt in his career.

If the Yankees traded for CC, there is NO CHANCE they wouldn't resign him. THEY ARE THE YANKEES. They will outbid anyone.

If I'm the Indians every single offer MUST include Phil Hughes, we are looking to win next year, not 2-4 years from now, so we don't want prospects too far away.

So I think Hughes, Cano, and one other player would be what the Tribe would want. I'm sure they would ask for Hughes, Kennedy, and Cano, but the Yanks wouldn't give Hughes and Kennedy for Johan, so I don't see why CC would be different.

The Yankees wouldn't give Hughes and Melky for Santana. What makes you believe they'd give Hughes and Cano for Sabathia?

"Put another way could the Red Sox get C.C. Sabathia for Brandon Moss, Bryan Corey and a throw in?"

Are you kidding? We traded Corey to the Pads a month ago... Timlin will have to do. Also I think we should exchange Moss of Kielty.

Austin Jackson is a top prospect while Horne is a very good starting pitching prospect. But you would know that, considering you're an almighty fan of "The Nation", aka the biggest scum fans in sports. As accurately displayed above
