Hey Manny! If you can't get 16 freebies maybe you should pony up and buy a few tickets. Good luck trying to get multiple seats together. Your posse would have to split up in the upper deck.

Let's be realistic, Manny. Roger Clemens has some lawyers to pay, but he can probably still get inon his own.

At least it wasn't the assistant to the travelling secretary. Costanza wouldn't put up with Manny's sh1t

Man what a bunch of tuff guys. Chacon beat up a skinny frail fifty year old an now Manny fights the traveling secretary. Man I hope I never run in to these gangsters on the street they both seemed to have mastered the art of push.

manny did spend his early years in the league with albert belle...

And so begins the demise of another over-hyped Yankees prospect.

When was Horne ever hyped?

He's just another #4/#5 starter / reliever guy. Best case he turns out to be a #3 guy.

Nothing amazing, nothing to laugh at either.

bucs_lose_again, that is the first thing I thought of when I read that. Good call my friend :)

I don't understand all of these Royals SP rumors. We are finally taking a step forward, so why would we trade anyone like Greinke or Meche? That would just set us back. These rumors are ludicrous, and need to stop. The KC rotation won't change anytime soon, deal with it.

Manny being an @$$ho!e

not to defend Manny ... I find anyone (especially someone as overpaid as a proffessional athlete) who can lose their temper to the point of injuring someone else despicable ... but let's stop and think about this for a second

Just looking at the surface of the story I would say this is a reporter who tried to make this into a bigger deal than it really was just because he needed some breaking news ... my opinion ... and alot of that is because as far as I can tell Manny is one of the more laidback and non-aggresive guys in baseball ... I find it hard to believe he would get this pissed off over something so small

who knows ... maybe I'm being too optimistic ... just seems like something got blew out of proportion

If Manny is so laid back, then how do you explain the Youkilis incident? This is the second time violence has become Manny's MO.

This IS a change in behavior, so is there something else that could be driving this?

While the RS aren't going to DFA Manny over this, he should be suspended for it and feel lucky he wasn't arrested for it. Of course they paid off McCormick to smooth things over.

Maybe he's using the spike in an attempt to hold on to his power a little longer and hope they pick up his option. It's a shame that this even comes to mind, but this is baseball these days I guess.

The old Goat... what a fitting name for somebody so stupid. Im going to take a shot in the dark and say you root for the Yankees.

First of all, is this really that serious? I dont know if this was an elderly man, or something like that, which would make me feel differently, but assuming he isn't some weak old man, what is the big deal? I am sure Manny regrets what he did, but is 2 men getting into an altercation and some shoving back and forth really the end of the world? None of you are ever guilty of getting caught up in the heat of the moment and doing something you regret? Manny didnt punch him in the face, it was a shove. Its over, I have both shoved people to the ground and been shoved to the ground myself. It is not that serious guys. Especially when these guys have known eachother forever and are together all the time, tempers will boil over sometimes. I am sure they have both completely gotten over this by now. Manny should have been arrested? Man, you must be some sort of fairy.

As for the Youk incident, I heard that multiple Red Sox players put the blame on Youk, and said that this is not the first time that Youk has been confrontational after having a bad at bat, and that he is a fiery guy and Manny simply tried to calm him down when that altercation took place.

As for Manny getting off easy because he is Manny, I would think this is fairly obvious. I said it the other day, if Chacon was a good pitcher, he would have another job right now. It is all about what you provide on the field, in terms of what you can get away with off the field.

nrmax88, reading your commentary on a number of different things have shown me that your IQ is hovering somewhere in the basement.

McCormick is someone who looks to be in his 60's. Think about that. A prime, conditioned athelete throws a 60 year old man to ground. This is because he decides at the last minute that he wants tickets.

There is a line that should not be crossed, but Manny did. McCormick is extremely well liked by the whole team. He has been with the organization for a long time. Even if this were some screw up on his part, it doesn't merit being manhandled.

As for the Youkilis incident, I have heard a number of things. That it was about Manny not getting out fast enough during the brawl, that it was Manny being disgusted by Youkilis' behavior. In any case, when players hit their team mates its wrong.

Manny is many things, but violent hadn't been one of them.

But keep giving him a pass for being Manny. I guess someone like you would also enjoy watching a mugging and rooting for the mugger while the old lady is being mauled.

Even on Dirt Dogs they are coming down on Manny, but I guess in your view, due to unusal man love fixations, you are unable to see this for what it really is. Wrong.

I believe, that if you read my post, I had the mans age as a caveat. I even went on to say that if this were an elder man, then it changes things.

There is a difference between being shoved and manhandled.

Oh, I get it, so you believe that Manny is at fault for fighting with Youk, when in actuality you are blaming the situation on Manny for not, of all things, fighting?

I have no personal opinion of Manny, only that he is a tremendous hitter. I have no allegiance to the Red Sox.

You are right though, on the last part. I actually watched an old lady get mauled a day or two ago, and I was cheering like a mad man for the mugger. Thats just how I roll.

I am not giving him a pass, I just think it is not that serious. I didnt know the man was old. I googled him, and could not find a picture or his age. This is the reason I wrote that I would feel differently if I found out he was an old man.

I do know one thing though, if you weren't a Yankee fan (which I now know that you are, since that is the only portion of my post you decided to ignore), you would not have made such a big deal over this. He should be arrested? You probably thought Pedro should have been arrested for throwing Don Zimmer to the ground also. I bet you believed Roger when he said the jagged piece of wood in his hand was a baseball though.

But think what you want. I am some demented crazy person who loves to see old men mangled and beaten by younger, fitter men. I actually would have prefered if Manny cut the mans throat and then proceded to burn down his home while his family lay trapped inside. But hey, this should be expected right, I am just some crazed lunatic with an IQ hovering around the basement level.

I think what really bothers you is that I called you a fairy. Sensitive subject, eh?

You have to be about the stupidest idiot I've encountered on the internet, mrmax88, and considering some the people on here, that is saying something really poor about my opinion of you.

Big F'ing deal you put in a caveat, so in other words you spout off like a drunken teenager without knowing much of anything.

Tell you what, go ask a lawyer if Manny could be arrested for what he did. Or ask a law enforcement officer. Or maybe use that pea-sized brain you have for something more than having sexual fantasies about someone you don't even know, and use common sense.

Now go jerk off in some basement corner somewhere while you think about being the man-ram to Man-Ram.

You truly are a sick mental reject who needs help. I hope you get it.
