"Juan Uribe wants to stay with the White Sox"
...when a team doesnt want you and attempts to replace you in the lineup, yet still offers you millions of dollars and turns down trades just to keep you around... Well yeah, I would want to stick around too if I wasnt that good but had such an easy gravytrain to ride...

Uribe isn't long for the White Sox.
And "open to" doesn't do justice to that article as far as Danks goes. It seems like a long term deal is exactly what he wants.

Every couple of years someone is still hitting .400 in the middle of May and everyone comes out of the woodwork saying this is the year. Verducci is correct, it's not going to happen. There's only been a handful of players in the game who really could have stood a chance and Chipper isn't one of them.

NOBODY wants Barry at the minimum? Wow.

All thirty teams in baseball declined to offer Jay Gibbons even a minor league deal? The collusion is evident.

Yeah I think we can at least admit that Kenny Williams made a great signing with Alexei Ramirez. He appears to be their 2009 shortstop and so far he's been very good at second base this year. His contract was only $4.75M over 4 years, so he's a huge bargain. If the White Sox can sign Mark Ellis or Orlando Hudson, then they could be set in their infield for a while.

Or at least until Gordon Beckham is ready.
