According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Braves have signed 35 year-old righty Julian Tavarez. Tavarez has tossed just 20 innings this year between the Red Sox and Brewers.

Hope he doesn't break his hand punching a dugout phone durning the playoffs, not that the Braves are likely to get there this year. And hopefully he will learn from John Rocker, and keep his homophobia in check this time. We all remember him using the "F" word in relation to fans at Wrigley. What a jerk.

Sorry, I meant, SF, not Wrigley. It's when he pitched for the Cubs. Correct me if I'm wrong.

So it'll be like picking up a reliver after the AS break. Not bad I guess. We could just dump him like everyone else if he screws up.
