I don't see any position the White Sox can upgrade. Yes, they need a leadoff hitter but where will he play. If they aquire a Coco Crisp or Willy Tavarez, where will Konerko play when he gets back.

“Gammons agrees with Scott Merkin of MLB.com - the White Sox will not be active in the trade market.”
They probably don’t have to, we know from history that the Twins wont add anyone and the Tigers have some ground to catch up still while seeing injuries continue to creep in. The division will come down to the team which can stay healthy down the stretch, if the Sox feel they are that team then pointless to make a move when there isnt a blaring move to be made…
With that said though, as an outsider I would suggest they get at least some pitching because the rotation most likely wont keep this up, and the BP is on a pace to be completely overworked by the end of August. Wont have to be huge moves, just a reinforcement or two…

I gotta ask... if Nady goes to the Rays, who could we get in return? You know Neil Huntington is going to ask for a top flight pitching prospect.

I could easily see the Rays create a package revolving around Edwin Jackson for Nady.

Ken Rosenthal was just on WEEI Boston and said he expects a Sabathia trade in the next 2 weeks.

I am not sure Huntington would do that, i think he will want a legit young prospect. Especially knowing we dont HAVE to trade Nady and Bay it gives us leverage.

Bucs fans: what would it take for the Braves to make a play for Nady? That would be my preferred hitter to pursue.
PS: When will your team stop sucking? Just ballpark it.

The Braves would probably need to give up a pretty good prospect. Maybe more than that. Something like Hanson and Lillbridge.

Hampton and Lillibridge it is. Sign the deal.

Darkstar, an overworked White Sox bullpen? Due to the success of their starters, they have actually logged the second fewest innings of any bullpen in the league.

Any chance of Jason Heyward being moved? Talk about a perfect fit for the Pirates.

Cubs wont trade Murton, UNLESS he is in a package for a SP...(CC/A.J./HArden)

Yes, he is... and that would prolly be Bay more than Nady... though if Nady for Heyward straight up gets it done... sign me up!

Schnoah, I am a Pirates fan myself, and I completely agree with you. If I'm offered a deal for Xavier Nady with Jason Heyward included, I'd take it without blinking. That could create a possibly unbelievable future lineup for the Pirates:
C-Doumit
1B-Walker
2B-Sanchez
3B-Alvarez
SS-Wilson/D'Aurnaud/Mercer
LF-McLouth
CF-McCutchen
RF-Heyward
That's a division-winning lineup. Now for some half decent pitching.

jake,
All of them were on pace for career highs in innings out of the pen, and where I am surprised to see their innings have been fairly limited the last week or two, they are still going to be pushing it ~ esp if/when the rotation starts experiencing problems.

No way the Braves move Hanson or Heyward. Those two guys are future stars in Atlanta. You can have Lilli back though (he's blocked by Escobar for like, 4+ more years), and Nady would be a great pickup for Atlanta.

You gotta give something to get something.

Hanson is not untouchable. He profiles as a middle of the rotation starter at best. The only reason he has all of this hype is because he threw a no hitter.
