Well, if Xavier Nady doesn't want to be traded, then maybe he should let the Pirates know he will sign a long-term contract at a rate reasonable for a guy with a career 107 OPS+ and not let his agent base his contract demands on one half of a great season from which he will surely regress to his career mean.

Bonds needs to make the statement of the millenium, and turn down the yankays once they come calling. That would be his ticket to widespread adoration. Shun the nefarious yankays in spite of them being his only option to play the game he rightfully belongs in. Staying true to himself, and his ideals would send a powerful message to people everywhere. I want Bonds in baseball, and more importantly on my beloved Mets, but he needs to diss the yankays. The game is so fixed for the yankays I wouldn't be surprised if they orchestrated this whole lack of interest in him just to coax him to sign with the yankays since he said he would never play for them. Disgusting. Bonds needs to laugh in their face, and tear up their contract offer on a mini-spy cam...then post it on youtube....

Are you on opium? The only reason New York would be right for Bnds is because the media is so cut throat there anyways...mine as well add a guy who may do some jail time....while you are at it bring the Rocket back so him and Bonds can serve together! :\
He will not be playing for your "beloved" mets...he will be playing in a dumpster or in traffic.

All that's missing from this video is Bonds hitting mad home runs in a NY METS uniform...

then why did the Mariners sign that one idiot who used to play for the Bucs? Wilson, whatever his name is...

Nady won't re-sign with the Pirates. Why?
Scott Boras is his agent.
If I was in the Buccos' front office, I'd want to trade him now, too, while his value is high.
And with McCutchen, Pearce, and Walker (who could move to the OF to accomodate Alvarez) coming up, the one thing the Pirates have is OF depth that they desperately need to spin into some decent pitchers.
