ZAMBRANO FOR KENNEDY :-p just kidding, making a joke at the Kazmir deal.

Wonder what the Dodgers are offering for Wilson. He's nothing special, but his defense is certainly good and he's got a better bat than some of the other defensive specialists in the league. Considering his defense, he's probably paid just about what right through 2009.
The Pirates don't have an obvious alternative at SS, so I have to believe Hu would be part of the package. Is Hu and Meloan too much? Hu and McDonald seems like too much. Maybe Hu and Elbert?

You comparing Kennedy to Kaz? Silly. Victor really does have some sick stuff. He is so hard to figure out. I still remember in 06 with the Mets, it appeared like he finally figured something out, for like one start, lol, then struck out the Braves side in the first inning of a game, and ran off the field holding his arm, never to be seen or heard from again. :)

i know VZ had some good stuff, but the reference kaz to kennedy was the potential. but i cant see the Yankees going anywhere near a guy with an almost 10 era in AAA. i'd say they could do it for an A league prospect with a very very low ceiling. personally i'd say they should go to Erik Bedard. give up Melky, and Horne with another prospect or two since his value is sort of low. personally i'd try to deal Kei Igawa Hideki Matsui and Melky Cabrera for Bedard. it'd let Damon play left, Gardener play center, and abreu can play right. hopefully this isnt as bad as a Guru prediction.

oh and by the way, the link about Jack Wilson leads to the CC Sabathia trade

"oh and by the way, the link about Jack Wilson leads to the CC Sabathia trade"
Tim knows that. Rosenthal's comments are contained within that article.
I think the restructuring he speaks of means the Wilson deal gets more prospect heavy and less focused on someone with major league time. That is a good thing, because Wilson wasn't worth anyone on the Dodger roster straight up, except perhaps Brian Falkenborg. I like the idea of Hu/Meloan or Hu/Falkenborg as there really doesn't seem to be much space in the 'pen going forward for Meloan anyway with the emergence of Cory Wade and the grooming of Jonathan Broxton.

Only thing is Kazmir was and still is very good. Kennedy can barely hit 90 on the gun.

As a Jays fan and a guy who's seen Zambrano pitch, I can only say: Sign him fast, Cashman! He's certainly going to solve *all* of your pitching woes! Yeah! And propel you into the play-offs! Why haven't you signed him yet? That 9.45era throwing you off? Don't worry, he's just letting the AAA guys inflate their stats! What a team player!

I love the morons who are bashing Kennedy right now. Where were you last year when the kid had a 1.89 era?? He's 23 YEARS OLD...and has a total of one year of professional experience. NOBODY knows if this kid will do well in the majors or not....NOBODY. So please, stop showing your lack of baseball savvy and get a clue.
As for Zambrano, the Yankees are scouting him is case he gets released. They aren't giving more than a minor league ball boy for him in a trade.
