The G.Floyd, G.Gonzalez for F.Garcia deal looks pretty awful but one can only get so worked up because G.Floyd clearly wasn't getting his act together in our Farm.

Abreu had to go but we really got nothing of any value in return.

Trades look good otherwise.

Signings... Adam Eaton... Geoff Jenkins... Horrible. Otherwise, no gripes.

Non signings... Failing to come to terms with Lohse for the 2008 season is a bummer. For what Rowand signed for I can't rag on Gillick too much.

Next big moves for Gillick - to resign Burrell or not... Trading for an arm.

Oversight and perhaps most importantly... Did we really need to see Jose Mesa on the mound in Philly again in 2007!?!? Come on Pat...

Keep up the good work otherwise. Go Phils.

Of course the Freddy Garcia signing is not the same Freddy Garcia most eveyone knows. It's the Freddy Garcia who made it to the majors as a Pirate and hit .222 in 401 career ab's as a 3B/OF.

haha sorry, my mistake

Without a doubt, Pat's most important trade - Tony Fernandez and Fred McGriff for Roberto Alomar and Joe Carter, two main pieces of the early 90s run.

Joe Carter... Tear.

you aren't allowed to talk about joe carter anymore....

Good work Gillick. It's tough to complain about any moves now.
