On the Phillies' radar: Will Ohman...

I'm a Braves fan. It's pretty strange that I'm finding it more exciting to follow Will freakin' Ohman's rumors than Tex's rumors.

morandjp,
It's the mystery of it all. We had an idea of what was an acceptable return for Tex, and who was likely to provide it.
I have no clue what they might get for Ohman. And because he's both valuable and affordable (if that makes sense), more teams will enter the bidding war.
It's fun!

It is fun, I just wish there had been more surrounding the best power switch hitting first baseman in baseball.

Maybe Brandon Moss for Ohman ?

The Royals offer Ron Mahay to the Red Sox for Brandon Moss. Sean McAdam says the Sox have the offer if they want to accept it.

Would they prefer Mahay to Ohman? Is Mahay signed through next season, and what kind of year is he having?
Posted by: tsweet9000 | July 30, 2008 at 03:26 PM
Mahay is signed for 4 million next year. Mcadam also said that the Sox are making "headway" with an Nl team to trade Manny...but "For now, Manny is in the lineup"

I just heard the Pudge Rodriguz has been traded to the Yankees, any truth?

Mahay's having a great year. It would be interesting to see him go back to the Sox as that's where he began his career as a scab outfielder during '95.

If the Sox are looking for a matchup lefty, as opposed to just another bullpen arm, I'm guessing they'd prefer Ohman. Mahay is the superior pitcher, but Ohman is far tougher on left handers.

Ohman would be a great addition to the sox bullpen. He has a solid 2.84 era which has been a problem in the sox bullpen. I think a good trade will be either delcarmen or hansen for Ohman. I hope the sox will get him, the sox are in despirte need for a good relief pitcher. hope the sox can get this deal!!! Oh, did u know Ohman is from Frankfurt, Germany!
