« Cubs Eyeing Ibanez, Giles, DeJesus | Main | Eight Hours To Go »
According to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times, the White Sox are targeting reliever Huston Street in trade talks. However, they might not have the prospects to pull it off. GM Kenny Williams may have to include a third or even fourth team to find a group of players Billy Beane likes.
Street, 25 in August, is under team control through 2010.

As much as I would love that deal as an A's fan, it won't happen. 1)Too Many Pieces 2) The Mets have put Martinez and Niese off-Limits and 3)The Sox will need to give up better prospects. I realize you guys have one of the thinest systems around, and you dont want to five up Poreda then Jose Martinez is gonna have to be the centerpiece of any deal, and he's still at best a quality every day outfielder.

Kherub- I would love that deal. But, if Minaya went for it, he would probably be fired the next day.
I have to agree with AriGoldisaG on this one, if Poreda isn't part of a Street deal, Jose Martinez will pretty much have to be involved. And, there will most likely have to be a third team involved.
