Hey I read the articlles on Posey, and here's another that says he may in fact be signed from mlb.com

I really hope it's true.

the reports going back and forth about posey are interesting to say the least. Reports are that he doesn't want to play in SF a pitchers park because it will decrease his value in the future for arb and free agency.. we'll see what happens I hope sabean doesn't blow it and not sign him or pay to much.

Posey's as good as signed.
Soooo happy about Matusz. Between him, Tillman, Guthrie, Erbe, Arrieta, Bergeson, Hernandez, Britton, and- if they're able to come back at full strength (big 'if') Patton and Spoone, I'm liking how the O's future rotation is shaping up. Too bad we didn't suck AS BAD as people thought we would this year...then we could've added Strasburg! (LOL)
I think San Diego may actually have to bite the bullet and re-offer Dykstra the $1.4 or close to it. Since Mooneyham declined the same amount to forgo college, you gotta think they'll take their chances just so this draft isn't TOO big a disaster (although Decker has looked pretty awesome in rookie ball).
Still, it's a longshot. I guess this year is going to be a lot different than last year (which actually seemed like the better draft and thus, the draft in which the players would have more leverage/reason to go back to school), where everyone signed. I think Crow's a no-go, Dykstra is a strong possibility NOT to sign, Cole's heading to UCLA- that's 3 right there and I wouldn't be COMPLETELY shocked if we saw one or two others sans a deal come midnight. I don't like the sound of the Alonso negotiations. Can't see the Rangers letting Smoak get past them, but they already have Chris Davis- a beast- to play first, so maybe it would be a strategic decision? OK, that's pushing it, but maybe Alonso.
