Who answers peoples questions in the chat? And i noticed people's names as " Jason Bay", Freddy Garcia" and stuff. Are they the real athletes talking?

Tim Dierkes answers, and they are not the real athletes talking.

Signing your name as "Jason Bay" or "Freddy Garcia" is just a creative way of asking a question about the player.

Lol, wow you had me fooled Tim. I knew you are getting pretty well known from your site, but I thought, "Man, Tim is getting really well known to have actual players and GM's and such answering the questions here on the chat." You got me. Point for you!!

What are the chances of the Yankees in the postseason? 50/50?

2:20 12%, tops."

Did you look or guess?

ELO-adjusted is at 11.44

I looked.

Thanks Tim. I actually thought you knew all those players and stuff.

When is the next Live Chat?

O never mind about when the chats are i found it.

Wow. I mean...Wow.

YankeeFan4life and JP...God. I really hate to be mean, but...HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!! HOW FRIGGIN' STUPID CAN YOU BE!!!

Sorry. That just kind of slipped out. While it really isn't shocking that a Yankee fan is...well...moronic, I can only guess to JP's fan affiliation. Let's just keep it simple and assume he too likes the Bombers (BTW- thank you YankeeFan4life...thank you. I could only dream of a statement so monumentally dumb coming from a fan of the team I loathe the most).

Of course it isn't the real player/GM writing in! You honestly think they have time to chat about mundane crap in the middle of the season? You really believe they would ask questions like, 'Where will I sign in '09?' or 'Does my demotion increase my chances of being traded?'?!!!! Apologies to Tim, but no big leaguer is trolling the web looking for blogger gossip, acting like an insecure teenage girl!

I've always wondered about those idiots who just don't 'get it.' The one who can't quite seem to grasp sarcasm or figure out when someone is joking. The rare few who, in an age of perpetual skepticism, remain as gullible as a (slow) toddler. Now that I've had a chance to read your simpleton posts...I'm pretty glad we'll never meet. Frankly, it's alternately sad and annoying. I'd wish you good luck in all of your endeavors, but it would be pointless. I think it's safe to assume, you're pretty much screwed.

BTW, Mateodh- while it was kind of you to show such patience and spell it out for JP and YanksFan, by answering so matter-of-factly, you only legitimize their questions/comments...which I think I've established were exceedingly dumb. I understand the temptation to treat the dolts gently- as you would a child- but doing so only encourages their idiocy. This country is already going to seed; let's not speed things up any further.

this is what i think i do have a problem with the mets not making a move for a big bat in the line up i do think that they should have worked out something with manny i dont think it was such a good idea to try to get holiday if it was going to cost you f mart and pelfry. If u look at some of the history that the mets have with there prospects you would not want to trade.. giving away kazmir bannister and lasting which is shaping out ok in washington... Now for the most part for the 09 season I think its a situation we are going to have to see because if Delgado swings a hot bat y would you get rid of him if you remember he did hit 38 bombs in 06 I do think alou is done so i think they can try and sign a big bat like Vlad/holiday/Bradley even giving them a pretty good offensive team if church comes back. For the pitching is also a wait situation because if u see how olie's pitching its amazing what he can do for big games and I dont think Martinez out either your looking at a guy that went 14-9 and leaving 5 games winning for the pen being fair u can give him a 17-9 record while he throw 85-88 now he throws 88-91 if he can jus pitch without going threw problems its a good deal for him to come back i think that all the mets should do is trade heilman for a good reliever pay well for a bat in left feild any that i mentioned vlad manny holliday or bradley this of course will be the biggest signing the mets would make if they do and if delgado stays averaging he should stay if not then go for mark texira and if pedro gets hurt agian or strugles let him go and if olie strugles or ask for to much money whcih could happen the mets need to sign a 2 and 4 guy possily a brad penny or mark prior or aj burnett and last the mets can stay with wagner if not they can go for fransico rodriguez which would be perfect because of the excitment that k rod brings.. also the mets do not need bullpen help maybe one guy like a brian fuentes they are strugling right now because wagner isnt there...but for now if any one has another solution that is reasonable with the mets payroll that they would actually be interested in doing please comment and any questions please ask! =]
