"You going to Los Angeles?" Scutaro asked McDonald.

"I heard you were," McDonald replied with a grin.

"Let's go ask Eckstein," Scutaro said. "We've got a lot of choices over here."

lol that made me laugh

Doug-eeee! Doug-eeeee!

That shake pitch is BS, I was throwing a forkball knuckler 15 years ago. It's the same thing. Mainly because I couldn't throw a proper knuckleball.

Ellis was a SS in the minors and only switched to 2B due to Tejada being entrenched at SS

Ellis suffered a major shoulder injury a few years back that is thought to prevent him from playing SS again.

Might be posssible though.

Ellis has mad range and hands, but his arm is pretty weak. I'm sure he'd still be at least an average shortstop, but his value is probably higher as a stud second baseman.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Ellis probably can play SS, but give me an intelligent reason to convert the best defensive 2B in the league into a league-average at best SS. With that shoulder injury from years back (he does have a weak arm, just great range/hands), moving him to SS might be a bad idea.
