Only 2 years of draft picks. Where are all the bad ones like Joe Borchard?

You have to scroll up to get to the rest of the picks. I only put in players who have made a contribution in the majors, usually one good season or 1000 plate appearances and prospects in the organizational top 10, I'll keep it in mind to add draft and signing busts once I finish them all. And I don't think williams was GM when borchard was drafted.

Brendan,
I wonder if you could prioritize some more of the GM's who are likely to move this winter (I know you have posted Gillick's record). I am a Mariners fan, and if they get a retread GM, I'd like to know how boned the team is in advance.

"And I don't think williams was GM when borchard was drafted."

You're correct. Borchard was drafted in June and signed in August. Williams became GM in November. He does have some poor draft picks though.

I like Kenny. I think he is a bit like Minaya. Some messy drafts, a questionable move now and then, but a good eye for talent and overall a very good GM. I have to admit, I thought he was running a horrible team coming into 2008, but I give him credit, solid pitching and a great lineup. Also, the McCarthy for Danks deal is looking outstanding. Moving Freddy Garcia was another good trade.

The only "bad" draft that I hold Kenny accountable for was the one when Oakland's Billy Beane pantsed him by suckering him into picking one batter and done reliever Roger Ring, so that Oakland then could select stud starter Joe Blanton. Prior to this year, Kenny's hands were handcuffed because Reinsdorf wouldn't let him fire then inept scouting director Duane Schaefer (now thankfully gone). The spreadsheet is cool, but incomplete. How can you leave Jordan Danks, the steal of this years draft, off noteable draft picks that were signed? And don't forget that Kenny "flipped" Joe Borchard for former Seattle top pick Matt Thornton too.
