Looks good Tim.
On my phone (LG Dare), there is a TON of blank space below the links and to the right.
Also, I didn't see a button for next page or previous page of links.
Posted by: stellar | October 29, 2008 at 09:57 AM
Cool. The space I may be able to address, but there will probably not be a previous/next button in the near future.

On my LG Voyager I see a giant phone widget looking thing with the story titles inside it, like it's an RSS feed, and the widget is on top of other things.
I just always go to the regular site on my phone and it looks fine anyway, so I'd never use a mobile version.

Looks great on a BlackBerry. I often check the site from my BB and this makes it so much easier to navigate. Nice work!
Posted by: 7thinningstretch | October 29, 2008 at 10:06 AM
Cool. Favorite'd.
Posted by: klwillis45 | October 29, 2008 at 10:07 AM
BTW, I'm using a HTC Mogul running Windows Mobile 6.1
Any plans to make the sidebar stuff acessibile?
Posted by: klwillis45 | October 29, 2008 at 10:10 AM
I guess it doesnt work on an LG Voyager...because that is what it looks like when I go to it on my desktop computer.
Posted by: Tim Dierkes | October 29, 2008 at 10:10 AM
Looks good on my Blackberry curve. I will bookmark it for an quick overview of the rumors.
However please don't make MLBTR a page that automatically redirect to the mobile version. One reason I got my phone was to view your site on the go!!
Posted by: tsweet9000 | October 29, 2008 at 10:11 AM
I used a free service for this, figuring this is better than nothing for the present. So I don't really have flexibility to improve it right now unfortunately.
Posted by: Tim Dierkes | October 29, 2008 at 10:11 AM
Yeah, its confusing when accessing it from a desktop...I guess it knows when you are using a mobile browser vs. a regular one.
I'm using a t-mobile sidekick slide and it looks almost perfect. A little space on the right side...but otherwise, it looks great.
Posted by: Aduncaroo | October 29, 2008 at 10:14 AM
its a really good idea. another great way to see this amazing site
Posted by: liondragon | October 29, 2008 at 10:18 AM
Looks good on the iPhone. I'll probably still use the regular version most of the time but this is a nice option and it loads quick.
Posted by: TJyankee21 | October 29, 2008 at 10:18 AM
Anyone try it on the Iphone? One person told me it did not work. But I guess you could just look at the normal site on an Iphone?
Posted by: Tim Dierkes | October 29, 2008 at 10:18 AM
Ah, well that is good to hear TJ. I wonder why it worked on yours and not the other person's.
Posted by: Tim Dierkes | October 29, 2008 at 10:19 AM
works fine on my iphone 3G, but so does the full version...
Posted by: nickfit | October 29, 2008 at 10:20 AM
btw, the chat transcript works great on the iphone. I nav'd there from the mobile site and it opened the transcript in a new window. It actually seems better and easier to read the transcript on the iphone than on my computer.
Posted by: nickfit | October 29, 2008 at 10:21 AM
looks good on my blackberry tim... i wont use it since i already have your RSS url bookmarked.... but it looks sharp
Posted by: mr utley | October 29, 2008 at 10:32 AM
I love it!
Posted by: yankeegirl49 | October 29, 2008 at 11:04 AM
Looks great on my 1st gen iPhone and as the commentor above said it is easier to read the chat transcript using the mobi version ... Thanks Tim
Posted by: Validlyte | October 29, 2008 at 11:11 AM
It would be nice to have a link to each teams rumors as well as a link to previous posts. I like the idea though. Great work!
Posted by: KCRoyals5 | October 29, 2008 at 11:20 AM
Looks good on my bb curve and LG Muziq.
Posted by: tdischino | October 29, 2008 at 11:21 AM
Seems to work fine on my Samsung Instinct. Thanks Tim.
Posted by: pageian | October 29, 2008 at 11:57 AM
I didn't mind the original site on the BB. The only issue was when TypeKey would go haywire.
Posted by: AA | October 29, 2008 at 12:14 PM
It does not work for me on my iPhone. It looks like the free service is specifically looking for an /iphone/ folder that does not exist on www.mlbtraderumors.mobi
Posted by: ThrashMagazine | October 29, 2008 at 12:34 PM
Looks good on my blackberry Curve (T-Mobile), but I am not able to click on the links to read the rest of the story.
Posted by: Big Mex | October 29, 2008 at 12:45 PM
Bulleted lists do not work on my Blackberry Pearl. It just appears as one sentence after another.
And a bigger problem I just noticed, only the first article on the page is clickable. The rest are just text.
But, as was stated by another person, I probably won't use it much anyway. The RSS feed with Viigo works great.
Posted by: indolent | October 29, 2008 at 12:46 PM
i have the same problem as big mex and indolent. it looks fine, just cant click the links
Posted by: K_TO_THE_C | October 29, 2008 at 01:00 PM
I personally think there is a big problem with this format... it only gives you the subject lines, and in your format Tim subject lines usually don't mean much. I would add some text like you do in the website and alow users to click on articles if they want more. The way you have it set up now you litterally have to click on all links to see what the story is about. But good job on creating a mobile version of the site... it was certainly needed!!! Thanks
Posted by: Twilo73 | October 29, 2008 at 01:33 PM
Tim I have the iPhone and both the mobile version and the regular website load very quickly and efficiently...thanks...by any chance is there a way I can get a mlbtraderumor widget?
Posted by: BaseballFanatic40 | October 29, 2008 at 02:16 PM
LG Dare here. Like the site. Faster than the original.
Posted by: Rick Honeycutt | October 29, 2008 at 02:20 PM
You can get the widget here:

thankyou
Posted by: BaseballFanatic40 | October 29, 2008 at 02:38 PM
Hey there, I tried it on my old Razr, and it did not work. It would redirect me, but the next page would come up "413-Page Cannot Be Displayed". Maybe it's just my old phone. Hope this helps.
Posted by: jcrabtree | October 29, 2008 at 09:36 PM
Looks good on my Blackberry Curve, except that the links don't work.
I was also going to suggest adding the first couple lines of the content below the header, with a link to view "more" if desired.
Posted by: kray1000 | October 29, 2008 at 09:50 PM
An iPhone application would be cool. I already wasted enough time in class reading the website, this would make it that much easier!
Posted by: stofva | October 29, 2008 at 11:56 PM
I can't view it on my iPhone. It keeps looking for the /iphone/ directory, which doesn't exist. Strange that it works for some iPhone users and not others.
Posted by: eVizions | October 30, 2008 at 01:00 PM
Doesn't work with my iPhone either
Unfortunate
But your site is still amazing!!!
Posted by: pskip13 | November 01, 2008 at 02:06 PM
Never mind
I tried the mobile version again
And this time it worked with my iPhone
It's very cool
Posted by: pskip13 | November 01, 2008 at 08:07 PM
iphone still doesn't work for me. I wonder if its a jailbreak thing...anyone else having iphone issues have their phone jailbroken like me?
Posted by: ThrashMagazine | November 04, 2008 at 01:34 PM
on my voyager it looks fine. i just go to the regular site with the verizon optimization and it looks just like normal.
Posted by: elbrav0 | November 05, 2008 at 12:50 AM
I have a Blackberry Curve, and I only see the links, I can't click on them to read.
Posted by: Lincecame | November 11, 2008 at 12:53 PM
any way that there is something we can sign up for that just texts us the updates?
I don't have internet on my phone and don't plan on getting it. I do have unlimited texting though.
Posted by: marlinfan | November 12, 2008 at 04:59 AM
looks good on my verizon blackberry curve, but i cant click any links and access any of the content. but i can access the regular site fine and it works.
is this just my phone? anybody else have this problem?
Posted by: thook13 | November 13, 2008 at 10:54 AM
Can you make a shortcut for blackberry's? Otherwise this is fantastic! Thanks!
Posted by: BravesFan2478 | November 18, 2008 at 12:14 AM
the only problem i have is when you click on comments and it goes to the next page I have to go through the whole article and any ads before i get to the comments. Any way possible to make it go just to comments? Other than that it is perfect!
Posted by: AstrosCoverage.blogspot.com | December 02, 2008 at 10:09 AM
T-Mobile G1 speaking.
Thank you Tim works great!!
Posted by: mRyAnkEe1231 | December 04, 2008 at 11:31 AM
Works great on my Samsung Instinct but the normal page loads almost as fast anyway. I love not having to click on anything to be able to read every post on the homepage. I'll prob stick to the normal site. I've got it set to my favorites so I can check iton the go. Crack. But, rock on Tim!!
Posted by: BigBatsMcHellfire | December 08, 2008 at 11:34 AM
I have an LG Shine. The page loads quickly and looks great. However, the scrolling keys do not function at all.
Posted by: Chris | December 08, 2008 at 02:14 PM
The page does not work on the G1 (Google Phone for T-Mobile). The error message is:
The requested URL /android/ was not found on this server.
As with the people who are having trouble on the iphone, it looks like the phone is looking for a folder that is specific to the G1.
Anyway, the normal page works just fine on the G1.

Posted by: Joe Stapes | December 15, 2008 at 10:08 PM
Please add links to the teams. I like headlines but being able to check out my favorite team news too.
Still great. Using a Palm Treo. Loads great.
Thanks,
