Several players refused outright assignments to Triple A recently, electing free agency. Let me know if I missed anyone of note.

Josh Bard, Shawn Estes from MLB.com's transactions.

That's cute, Borkowski thinks he might land a gig else where as a FA. The guy had one season where he was reliable at best, but since then hasn't really been too impressive.
Good riddance, Dave, it was fun watching you at Round Rock.

I'd like to see the Pirates sign Castillo. They are going to have a need for that back-up middle infielder with the departure of Chris Gomez, and the verdict is still out on the other bench players (Mientkiewicz, Michaels, Rivas.) I feel Castillo got a bum deal under Jim Tracy, and he's a servicable bench player with a cannon of an arm and decent range. Plus, he's capable of playing some RF. He'll be a nice addition as long as he's not relied on to heavily.

Bard and Estes have been addressed previously...Cruceta I could add though.

Polka,
I severly doubt Castillo returns to the Pirates he hated it here.

Thank God he is finally gone. I hated watching him. The only time I wanted to see him pitch is if we were getting blown out. I didn't even want to see him come in if we were up 20. He will be playing AA on another team(because the Astros minor league is in bad shape was the only reason he was at AAA), but he might be able to fit in nicely with the Nationals
