Top 100 pitching prospects who were traded where it hasn't looked too bad (yet):
Troy Patton (Tejada trade)
Deolis Guerra (Santana trade)
Jason Hirsch (Jennings trade)
Dan Meyer (Hudson trade)
Boof Bonser (Pierzynski trade)
John Patterson (Randy Choate trade)
I'm sure there are others. These guys were generally traded just as the shine was starting to wear off, but they were still very well regarded when traded. Not quite the Kazmir/Garza class of prospects, but the next step down.

Liranio and Nathan were traded to the twins for aj. heres an example of young studs getting traded

Nathan was a good set-up man and Liriano was a good, but off-injured arm at the time of that trade. Neither were top prospects. Bonser was the prize of that trade at the time, and has ended up being the least valuable acquisition.

No, I think that Nathan was just getting settled as a pitcher (from switching from outfield).
