"Hal Steinbrenner officially took over control of the Yankees from George."
I was unaware George owned the team. He was unassuming all those years. I wonder if Hal is the quiet, shy type as well.

Tim, any idea how many total users are signed up? I can barely keep up with the comments on the majority of posts. Crazy.
Also, do you get $ for us clicking on ads or simply coming to the site?

It's difficult to take Tom Haudricourt seriously after he voted Albert Pujols 7th in the NL MVP race.
I feel sorry for Brewers fans who have to read the writing of an absolute moron.

hank is going to vegas to learn the gamblin' bid-ness.

Studio-
Hal is actually the quiet, shy type.
Hopefully now people will just ignore Hank's mindless rambling.

After I posted, I realized I got Hal and Hank confused. You're right, they say Hal is the quieter type. That will be a contrast to Yankee fans and baseball fans I would think.
I will say one thing about George. Many did not like his management style, many respected him. I have heard a couple stories from people in baseball and not involved with baseball tell some interesting stories about King George. Not all bad either and they were interesting.

"Wood: There still is a chance Wood could return to the Cubs. Let’s say he doesn’t get that three-year deal from another team that everybody seems to think he’ll get. The Cubs no doubt will offer him salary arbitration, if for no other reason than to get draft-pick compensation if they do lose him. If Wood accepts, he’s automatically back for at least a one-year deal. That would give the Cubs Wood, Gregg and Carlos Marmol at the back end of the bullpen, with Jeff Samardzija seemingly in the middle. That’s not bad."
I can only hope!

WOW....is there a really an article on how the Sox may trade Big Poopi? If it wasn't for him, the Sox would be ZERO for 90 YEARS instead of a whole two for ninety. Stupid to even consider.

It actually makes sense for Wood to take the arbitration if the offers are not large in the free agent market. With the plethora of closing options this year, it might make sense to hit the market next year. Other options from 2010: Kevin Gregg, Troy Percival, Jose Valverde, and Billy Wagner.

I dont understand how there any team has any ounce of interest in Mike Cameron. The guy is garbage, and his so-called "great defense" cost the Crew in the playoffs

Im a brewer fan, and tim is a good writer, idk why he would vote pukols 7th, but i never heard that. An as for a Cameron trade to the yanks, JUST DO IT. Cameron cant hit, and if we traded to the yanks, we could probably unload a jeff suppan or billy hall and still get ian kennedy. I just hope Doug Melvin's ego doesnt get in the way.

"New commenters are signing up every day as MLB Trade Rumors grows. Before commenting, be sure to read our policy. If you ever see someone violating the policy just send me an email and I'll take care of it."
This is the only downside of the MLBTR success. More and more tools everyday.
"I dont understand how there any team has any ounce of interest in Mike Cameron. The guy is garbage, and his so-called "great defense" cost the Crew in the playoffs"
Case in point.
