Teams Express Interest In B.J. Upton
According to MLB.com's Jim Molony, several teams contacted the Rays regarding center fielder B.J. Upton. Molony says a trade is unlikely. Star center fielders are rare, and the Rays don't have any strong needs. Upton is under team control through the 2012 season, I believe.

I think I have brought this topic up with you guys before. Idk why the hell they would do it, Upton will be a mega super star in a year or two. He is a stud and will put up H Ramirez numbers. VERY hypothicly:
Braves get Upton
Rays get Heyward + Freeman
I know I'll get abused for this, I just think Upton is/will be a top 5 player. There is no telling of he and Justins ceilings. They will both be superstars.

I don't think he will be moved, the Rays would have to be absolutely blown away by an offer. If i'm the Rays there is not one player in the league i'd trade him for straight up including Linecum (mostly b/c their pitching is so strong). It would have to be something crazy like Wieters and Tillman + one more prospect.

oh btw, i think the rays will trade him to the sox cuz we need him really badly.. since ellsbury didnt hit over .330 with 25 hrs he is an inadequate CF

the brewers have expressed mild interest
something like a prince fielder jeff suppan type deal with DJ Upton and Andy Sonnastine
not a bad trade for either side
prince can DH and the rays still have pena at 1st
i think the rays are gettin a better part of the offense deal but the brew crew would get a better part in the patching deal thats a solid trade for both sides
