« Rockies Offer Arb To Brian Fuentes | Main | Padres Decline To Offer Arb To Hoffman »
The Dodgers' numerous arb decisions are in, courtesy of MLB.com's Ken Gurnick. Manny Ramirez, Derek Lowe, and Casey Blake get offers. Joe Beimel, Brad Penny, Jeff Kent, and Greg Maddux (all Type Bs) don't. The only real surprise here is Beimel, who earned less than $2MM this year and seemed worth the risk.

all these reports seem a sign of the financial times. Teams aren't offering arbitration on almost anyone they think may accept it.

Was not there an agreement to not only void the option year for Ramirez, but o not offer him arbitration when he was traded as well?

No the agreement was that Manny would not accept arbitration, so of course the dodgers were going to offer it.

johns- The agreement was that Manny would decline the arbitration and the Dodgers would get draft picks, not that Manny would not be offered arbitration.
No way Joe Beimel accepts. LOL @ Ned Colletti for that one.

The Beimel thing is stupid. He is primed for a multi-year deal. Only an idiot with no understanding of the arbitration system would not offer him arbitration. Even if he accepted, big f'ing deal. You get one of the best lefty middle relievers in the game for around $3 million, maybe less if Kim Ng argues as she is known to do.

Ned Colletti aka the dead guy from Weekend at Bernie's is the GM of the Dodgers.
Stupidity is Ned's middle name!
He is licking his chops to sign a washed up Renteria...
