Burnett got a full no trade clause? Dangerous stuff for the yankees there.

Manny should get no more than 3 years and 20-22 million a year. He doesn't deserve more than that.

I don't think Burnett got a full no-trade clause. I think he can name up to 10 teams each year he cannot be traded to.

Coste is not an everyday catcher.

Good, no Manny to that dump rat infested Angel Stadium.

No trade clauses' don't always hurt the team. In this case, Burnett (getting paid the 16.5 mil he is) would not be kept if he is pitching well. No one would want to take on an injured player, nor would they want to take on someone drastically underperfomring. It really just makes the player happy.

Everyone is predicting a big season out of Chris Davis. I know I'm going to look to pick him up on my Yahoo Fantasy team if he is available in later rounds. He'll be good for some strong production.
If we (the Dodgers) could acquire Manny for less than $25 million, I'd be happy. Still waiting for you to offer Manny three years Ned. The Angels are out, and the Yankees are indecisive right now. Let's get this done.

Balt don't need an everyday catcher they need a guy that can play 50-40% of the games and teach their star rookie. Something that Coste is great at.
I'm from Coste's home town and he does a lot of radio interviews and he loved his role in Phi. He even said he would rather be a backup playing a few games a week than starting everyday.
He's a good player and has done very well with his time in the majors. A good guy to have on any team.

Redding is a good 5th starter for the MEts, especially if they're not fully confident in that minor-leaguer (his name escapes me right now) they're predicitng to slot into the rotation.
I disagree with Davidoff's little blurb about the Nationals in his Teixiera article. The nats have no use for Manny. Sure's he's a great player, but he's a clubhouse cancer and the nationals already have 7 oufielders for 3 positions. They've also said they're not interested in Manny

It's great to see the Mets going hard after Tim Redding; I'd much prefer him over Jon Niese for the fifth starter's slot. He's dependable, and if Maine goes down again, Niese can come up and take his place. This assuming we tab (choice A) Derek Lowe or (choice B) Ollie Perez for our other rotation hole.

Where is the signing of the late Joe Niekro's son and Phil Niekro's nephew, Lance Niekro?

I disagree. A player like burnett can always be dealt becuase of his tantalizing upside. You would have to eat some money or something but could still save the club money. I have no idea what type of no trade clause he got. The article was very vague and I have not seen anything else about it.
