Reds Focused On Hairston, Baldelli, Taveras

According to John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Reds are now focused on three outfielders: Jerry Hairston Jr., Rocco Baldelli, and Willy Taveras.  They had some interest in Juan Rivera but didn't want to do three years.

Fay believes the Reds currently have offers out to Hairston and Taveras.

Walt, please sign Tavarez before Kenny does! PLEASE!!!

Kenny needs to jump of Taveras and Baldelli

Kenny is acting like a spoiled baby because we wouldn't trade for Dye. You are stuck with that salary and we are going to get Taveras and Baldelli.

Wait- signing Taveras is a GOOD thing?

Baldelli, otoh, would be a fine acquisition if he can actually play.

Taveras??? Why don't Walt and Dusty know that speed alone does not make you a good baseball player????????

Get us some OBP in this freakin lineup, Walt!!

Get Milton Bradley if you can open up the checkbook. He's going to be a good signing for someone (possibly the Cubs, I'm afraid).

If not, sign Gomes for LF. (He's going to come cheap, and I'm telling you, even though he'll whiff a ton, that dude will HIT. And he'll come pretty cheap too.)

Anyone but Taveras!! We don't need Hopper AND Taveras!!!!

I hope the Sox get Baldelli. He's a New England native and he would be a great 4th OF for the Sox (probably RF, who knows about JD or if Ellsbury has trouble).

I guess if he goes to the Reds he'll have a starting job so that would be cool for him. I'm rooting for Rocco.

The Reds should get bYRNES. That would be awesome

Taveras is a wastes of time, speed is only good when you can actually get on base. Baldelli is a great dude and good ball player, but can he play 120 games a year? Negative on that.

Go after Hermida or Abreu. Hermida is young and Abreu can hit.
