« Jays Offer Arb To Burnett, Not Zaun | Main | Dodgers Offer Arb Only To Manny, Lowe, Blake »
According to Troy E. Renck of the Denver Post, the Rockies offered arbitration to Type A free agent Brian Fuentes as expected. Fuentes seems a good bet to sign with a team with an unprotected first-round pick, so the Rockies will grab that and a sandwich pick.

if the cubs dont offer arb to Wood, a team that signs him wouldnt have to give up their pick, right?

That's correct. Any team can sign Wood and not lose picks. It will be offical soon.

On the other hand, Fuentes will end up costing a team picks.

In that case I want the brewers to go hard after both hoffman and wood, wouldnt lose any picks, and that sures up the back end of the bullpen

Not sure how that ties into a Fuentes thread, but have Melvin go for it. This whole Cubs not resigning Wood scenerio has been a sore spot with me this offseason and he might as well end up a Brewer.
