| Tribune To Choose New Cubs Owner Soon? »

The latest from Yahoo's Tim Brown...
- Bobby Abreu still wants $48MM over three years, according to Brown and Gordon Edes. Abreu may have lost three potential suitors today in the Cubs, Rays, and A's. Buster Olney suggests Abreu is "probably out on the ledge, more than any other player in the corner outfield market."
- Brown says the Dodgers, Orioles, Nationals and Mariners "seem to have the most interest in adding an outfielder." Haven't heard much about the Orioles looking for help there.
- Brown believes the Dodgers are "sitting on their original offer of two years and $45 million guaranteed" to Manny Ramirez. He says Scott Boras still wants four or five years at $25MM per.
- Starters on the Dodgers' radar: Randy Wolf, Jon Garland, and Braden Looper. Looper might be a new name.
- Kenshin Kawakami is apparently "drawing solid interest from the Braves, Cardinals, Red Sox, Twins and Orioles." It'd be surprising to see Boston sign him after getting Brad Penny.

Abreu can't possible think he can get 16/year still, can he?

Looper and Garland wouldn't be bad pick ups...then again wouldn't be that great either. Looper's arm proved to hold up last season. His ERA might improve at Dodger Stadium with the lower homerun rate (he allowed 25 last season).
Garland is a little less exciting with that 4.90 era and 1.50 whip. Maybe we can another 2005 out him?
Billingsly
Kuroda
Looper
Garland
Kershaw/Schmidt
That even sounding very formidable? Better sign Manny to make up the homeruns allowed.

Abreu must have crawled into a cave after the season ended. In this FA market I think the most he can hope for is 3/$33MM

Hopefully the mccourts don't sign anybody else so they loose alot of the fan base and will have to sell the dodgers!!! Please god let this happen!

If Abreu thinks he is going to get 16 million a year, then come April 1st, he's going to be playing catch with Jason varitek and derek Lowe while they also wait for ridiculous offers that they think will never materialize (4/40, 5/90)Abreu's agent must be using Boras's "outta'his mind" theory on what Abreu is worth when Burrell gets 8 Million and Bradley gets 10 million a season. Both are superior to Abreu at the plate.

O's don't need an outfielder at all. Any digging on that would be to fill a 1B/DH slot with some positioning flexibility.

I think the Mariners need to sign Bobby Abrea especially after raul ibanez left.
But he definently doesnt deserve anymore then 11 mil a year.
