Remember when Hudson was looking for 4/40+?

The problem with Hudson is that his improvement offensively coincided with his defensive decline.

He was once a plus defender that was just solid as a hitter.

Then he became an above average hitter, and his defense declined to the point where he's just average or slightly above average.

I'd still give him something like 2/18 or 2/20 though, especially if that's what Renteria got.

The White Sox would be a GREAT fit.

They need a top of the order hitter, a middle infielder, and someone that's more short term.

Hudson fits all of those needs, and could easily be afforded after dealing Vazquez and Swisher.

Kenny oughta do it, but he'll probably end up just going with Lillibridge/Nix/Getz.

"Writing about the Red Sox and Mark Teixeira seems so old. Eventually, we all are going to have to move on."

Michael, please just freakin' move on. Jeezus! It's ancient history now.

And stop making stuff up about Red Sox management. They're going to eventually deal with Boras on Varitek. They will continue to overpay Boras for draft picks. Life goes on. Get a clue.

Personally... Michael Silverman isnt that good of a writer in my eyes!
