Does anyone see any way that the Royals trade Teahen back to Oakland for Crosby and move Aviles to 2nd?

tyler I don't see it. Why wouldn't they have just spent an extra million or so on Cabrera if they wanted to do that?

I agree with Randy Johnson, I don't think the D-backs mysteriously found a few million dollars 2 months later.

"Also, the Yanks can brag about having a lower payroll in 2009 than 2008, but they already have a payroll of $133.1 million in 2011 with just nine players signed, none of them named Derek Jeter or Mariano Rivera. So, yes, the Yanks are better in 2009 because they signed Burnett, Teixeira and C.C. Sabathia, but what they have assured of recreating in the near future is an expensive, inflexible, aging team."
About the best analysis of the yankees payroll/offseason I have seen. Looks like they will have 150 mil if not more tied up in 10 players in 2011 without a closer or much in the OF.

Good luck with Brad Wilkerson finding a job if he is left off the Sox roster and opts out. Have watched the few Sox games broadcast and listened to some and looks like he may be really done from early ST, plus what he did last season and bailey has been on fir last season at AAA and so far this ST. Wilkerson making 3x what Bailey does, plus being LH may be more reason to keep Bailey over him until Kotsay comes back even.
