I wonder if the Cards would have any interest in Kouzmanoff. He's had a bad year so far but he always starts off slow and heats up late in the season. A move out of Petco could do wonder for him as well. He did hit .292 .329 .473 on the road last year. He's cheap and a very good defensive third baseman.

The mind of a Giants fan is unlike any other in MLB. I mean for years they worshipped Bonds and ignored his rapidly increasing body mass, but now I just read "well if you take away the money and length, its actually a good deal!".
Im actually the fastest man on planet earth, if you discount or take a punt on my actual running speed. I -think- like a fast runner, I do things that fast runners do sometimes, ergo, I am the fastest man alive.
mind blowing idiocy from Giants-land again, why couldnt they just have moved to Tampa Bay???

I'd stick with Willy Aybar and Ben Zobrist instead of trading for Sanchez. If theses guys keep performing the Rays will have pieces to move at the deadline.

if Odalis Perez wanted to pitch, he'd be pitching. I could say the same for Martinez as well. If either of them gave even the slightest bit of a crap about playing baseball, they would be doing so.

In my opinion, not only should the Cards get a 3B but also another outfielder. I am sorry Cards fans but Duncan should NOT be an outfielder. Not only does he dive and miss for every ball, but he stands up at the plate and just watches every pitch go by and swings at stupid pitches. We should trade Duncan and others for another outfielder and replace him. I think getting Derosa to play 3B (I know he can play OF but our need is greater at 3B) and maybe go after someone like Brad Hawpe, Chase Headley, or even Eric Byrnes. Replacing Duncan's horrible bat with one of these guys or even someone else will hopefully kickstart our offense and help us say goodbye to days of scoring 2 runs or less.

Poor PL, with so many things flying right over his head he should probably be wearing a helmet.

1. Renteria has a batting average above .300 with runners in scoring position (fact). He leads the Giants in hits with two outs and runners in scoring position. So I wouldnt go so crazy to call it a terrible signing. Sabean is a fool for spending that much, but Renteria has been clutch for their limp offense.
2. The Giants ownwership has revived the franchise from it's disposal into the hell of Tampa Bay. They now have Arguably the best stadium in baseball. A young and filthy pitching staff (Lincecum, Cain, Sanchez) and they have a number of blue chip prospects coming up (Bumgarner, Alderson, Posey)
That was a foolish commment. You sound like a bitter old man.
