Enjoy the depth Yankees. Nady will help the bench that apparently everyone seems to think wins ballgames. Regardless he'll help the team.

Alright....so....
In the last 24 hours we've had 3 'rumors' about Wedge and the Indians...
The first says he may be going.
The second says he won't be going and is safe for the year.
Now this one suggests his number is up...
ahh, gotta love baseball rumors, lol.

Ha! Rangers have been in first place long enough. Time for Texas to fall back to earth.

Does anyone want Felix Pie? Because you can have him!

Both topics saying Wedge is out the door are by Paul Hoynes, going by his track record as a terrible reporter that probably means Wedge will at least live out his current contract.

So he's a "mastermind" now? Give me a break. He didn't do S H I T in Chicago except push the franchise back 20 years.

Who on Earth would want Felix Pie. He's slightly above average defensively and posts a career line of .218/.283/.328. The only place he would fit is on a team with a very good line-up that could use a guy who can run the bases in clutch spots (He is 12/15 in his career stealing bases). Maybe the O's could get an A ball prospect from the Giants but that's all I can think of.

The indians have to sweep the pirates in convincing fashion if grady returns this week to salvage the train wreck of a season wedge has managed to create as the conductor.

"Does anyone want Felix Pie? Because you can have him!"
Nobody wanted Pie over the offseason except for the Orioles for some strange reason, so why would it change now? The Orioles were hot for everybody's discards, Pie,Pauley, yet DFA'd Rocky Cherry that might have actually helped the BP they have and has resurrected his career at AAA now.

The Rangers already have fallen, and they're still in first place. The bats will come back to life, probably against the Diamondbacks. This team won't go away.

I mean, there was a time when Felix Pie was a pretty big deal in Chicago.
That's what happens when you're a highly touted prospect that posts a .362/.410/.563 line in 250 AAA plate appearances as a 22 year old.
He just never showed the ability to take pitches and do pretty much anything with offspeed stuff.
