"Southpaw reliever Alan Embree is out for the season with a broken tibia"
Shame on Martin Prado.

AS Game cost the Sox 275K, nearly enough to pay a 1st year player 2/3 of the season.

"Southpaw reliever Alan Embree is out for the season with a broken tibia according to MLB.com's Cheng Sio. Just two games back of the wild card, will the Rockies look to add a reliever?"
Give the Red Sox a call about Hunter Jones or Javier Lopez. Both experienced AAA lefties. Maybe they can work something out.

Hey Rox, John Grabow makes even more sense now.

Well, considering the fact that they were looking to add a reliever BEFORE the Embree injury, yes they will look to add a reliever. Though I don't know who they could add. I guess all of the Nats' pen is touchable.

Hey Rockies, how does Gonzo from Atlanta sound?

Rockies will be "temporarily" moving De La Rosa since the allstar break allows a reset of the rotation.
Instead of looking for a reliever, they should try to land a 3rd or 4th quality starter and bump De La Rosa to the pen for the rest of the year.
Of course what they REALLY should be doing is packaging Gozalez, Chris Nelson, Franklin Morales and some other prospects for Halladay.

Halladay has a no-trade clause, and it is unlikely he would accept a trade to a place like Coors field.

Halladay has already said he'd wave his no trade clause so he could come home to Colorado. Not all pitchers in the league are not afraid of Coors Field.
