The same Austin Kearns who is hitting under .200? Who would want him?

I was just thinking the same thing...if a team with a huge payroll had Kearns they would still be trying to get rid of him just to dump his salary.
Just get him off the team. He stinks.

This guy is worse than Julio Lugo and that is pretty bad.

I wonder what the Rockies would give Atlanta for Gonzo? They need bullpen help.

Of topic I really like fernando nieve and he's better than oliver perez. What will they do with him. He's also 26 or 27 years old.

The Mets or any of their players aren't even mentioned in this post...take it somewhere else. We aren't all Met homers.

To solution to the Rockies reliever shortage doesn't have to be solved by snagging a reliever.
With the addition of a starter it could give the Rox the option of dropping Hammel or De La Rosa to the pen. De La Rosa coming out in the 6th or 7th inning against a lefty slanted lineup would be great.

bravoboy10: While I think Kearns is pretty awful, he is better than Francouer so maybe the Braves would want that slight upgrade. And before you get into BA, Kearns has a .330 OBP and a .648 OPS, Francouer .282 and .634. And while i'm not really sure how, Kearns has a -.2 WAR compared to Francoeur's -.6 WAR.

Call me crazy, but I think the Dodgers might be able to swing Pierre, McDonald, DeWitt, and T. Abreu for Halladay as long as they eat some of Pierre's salary. Alas, this most likely won't happen.

Ok, youre crazy.
In fact, crazy doesnt even begin to cover it enough. You are more out of your freakin mind! Like get that man a nice padded room and strap-down jacket, crazy! Like, "say hi to Cheif for me for me", nutz'o! Like, "do we need to put a cork on his fork?", cockoo's nest insanity!
Hope that covered it well enough.

A deal for Halladay from the Dodgers would have to include Kershaw--just giving you an idea what to expect in a trade for him. The Jays aren't going to give him up for peanuts.
