Griffey is one of those players who will have to be told nobody wants him. For the future of the Mariners SEA should politely let him know they don't want him back.

I disagree. Griffey is still well worth being offered a contract in Seattle. He gives the city a reason to love baseball, even if he isn't hitting 40 home runs. If used right, he is certainly worth keeping around. I for one would love to see him get to 661 and 3000...those are milestones that are still within reach.
