Because baseball should be in all four seasons, no matter what Forbes Magazine thinks...
- As Buster Olney first reported on October 3, Red Sox pitching coach John Farrell officially took his name out of the running for next manager of the Cleveland Indians.
- Joe Torre denied that life with the Dodgers is "a living hell", as Peter Gammons told Michael Kay on his radio show Wednesday. Torre did say, however, that he doesn't expect to manage past his 2010 contract.
- Perhaps the phrase will be used instead in the upcoming divorce proceedings between Dodgers owner Frank McCourt and his wife, Jamie. As a source described it to Ken Rosenthal: "They've already 'lawyered' up. They're trashing each other
terribly. It's going to be World War III."
- Orlando Hudson is glad the Blue Jays traded him. Considering that he's still playing, and J.P. Ricciardi is out of a job, one can guess Ricciardi feels otherwise.
Leave it to the east coast media to misquote and spread misinformation once again. Its tough to say which is the worst between Olney, Rosenthal and Gammons, they are all equally horrible at reporting news.

Wow can you imagine Joe Torre and Bobby Cox....two of the best managers of our time...leaving the same year. Really looking forward to next year already

Gammons many be just full of it and trying to start something to draw attention to himself, however.. He could be hearing something about Ramirez also. he's not exactly the easiest player to manage on a club. Like wonder if Ramirez is having problems with injuries and forgetting what they are the next day? An old school guy like Torre may not be as forgiving (hopefully) as Francona when he starts that childish behavior that Ramirez is well known for, besides already getting a 50 day vacation this year as it is when the LAD needed him.

Considering JP Ricciardi's second baseman hit 36 home runs this year, I'm thinking he still doesn't.

If you hate the owner of your favorite baseball team and want change, all you have to do is find some home wrecker to sleep with the husband; then simply pit husband and wife against each other. The team ultimately gets sold as part of the divorce settlement.

Wonderful news! OK. Dodgers will need to cut payroll. Solution: Move Manny. Red Sox agree to pay $20 million of the contract and it's exactly the same as if he stayed for the option years.

As far as John Farrell he would of made one hell of a manager for the Indians, they have had some amazing pitchers in recent years, Cliff Lee and C.C. Sabathia. He would be great for those pitching prospects, and I cant believe we fired our pitching coach too, he was comparable to Farrell. Those two coaches on the same staff, that would be a NIGHTMARE for any heavy offense. As far as Torre goes, he has taken a borderline team before Torre came in and has taken them to the playoffs two years in a row.

Thanks, Ken. Not that I would know first hand, but few divorces are smooth.

May the McCourt's divorce do to the Dodgers what the Moores' divorce did to the Padres. Amen.

If the McCourts do get a divorce, they have to sell the team. No one is going to buy out half the team ownership and work with either McCourt.
Whatever the Dodgers are worth in a sale, the McCourts have some huge loans to pay off...
