I didn’t see anything wrong with the other version. The one you tried several weeks ago was very annoying in that it sent emails for every response made and a lot of times the discussion was “old” and on the second or third page before I got around to answering. Does this do the same thing?

I like the new format. The only question I have is what about page numbers? Is it like the other format that was tried a week or two ago? Because if there are no page numbers, it is really a pain in the butt if you want to get to the new posts all the way at the end.

Just select ‘Sort by – Newest first’ at the top of the comments. Viewing them this way helps you keep up with the latest convo.

I like the fact that this system is much easier to stay logged in. Overall, I dont know about how to say yes/no to the new system until we see how well it allows the members here to regulate the comments. I like the format of being able to reply, but the older format is easier to follow the comment strings.
As for the topic, I am not surprised that the Padres haven’t made a decision as to trading Adrian as of yet. I am happy to start the year off with Adrian at 1B and Blanks in LF (which means one of Kouz/Headley is going to be moved)

Not sure about the avatar thing but it’s easier to connect

Joyer: Not in a rush to trade A-Gon… What a surprise !!!

the only problem is how long can a guy that big cover that much ground in the outfield? i like him too, i like his bat especially but i am curious for him to get a full second year under his belt.

At least for another two and/or until Adrian walks out the door either via trade or FA.

He’s a much faster guy in person then you’d initially think. Petco is big, huge actually in CF and RF….but LF is more moderate and he does look like he could be passable out there.
Plus, the bat looks perfect for Petco…..and the price is right for the Padres.
I don’t think Hoyer wants his first major deal to be sending away fan favorite local kid Adrian.

Avatars will become a problem due to immaturity. However, change the word “Flag” to “Report” and a lot more of the immature or plain troublemakers will be weeded out.

All in all, it’s a more cleaned up version of the one you had tried a couple of weeks (?) ago.

I honestly believe the Padres SHOULD trade A-Gonzo. From speculations and postings throughtout MLBTR, It’s said to believe A-Gonzo can land the Padres at least 5 players(2 mLB ready & 3 minor league prospects).Likely destinations!1) Red Sox- Hoyer is familar with the Red Sox system; therefore knows what prospects he would want in return for the power 1b. 2) Rangers- The Sleeper pick in IMO, but they can start a package for A-Gonzalez w/ high prospects such as Justin Smoak & N.Feliz.3) D.Rays- If a third team joined, the Rays may have a opportunity to acquire A-Gonzo. They would have to depart with the CF J.Upton or Carl Crawford & one of their big contracts( P.Burrell & C.Pena).4) Braves- A team looking to acquire a big bat that might pull off a package starting with high-prospects K.Medlen & 1b) Freeman.

I have to agree. If you can “like” certain posts (informative, creative yet realistic, funny, etc.) you should be able to “dislike” stupid trade proposals or similar posts.
I know racial stuff can be flagged, but stupid trade proposals can’t.

Yeah, but when he gets older, his knees will go bad because he is a big guy, and big guys always have knee problems.
