Maybe this is the reliever the Red Sox have been looking for.

The Red Sox already have a crapload of old, washed up pitchers. I guess Theo is looking to add to his collection again.

It would make sense as a bad contract swap with Lowell, I guess. Not sure what Detroit would do with Mikey. Bench? Part-time DH? 1B?
Guest 2775
Actually that would make a ton of sense.

I’d take him over Oliver Perez.

Omar Minaya should be all over this.

or from the way this day has gone, Theo Epstein should be on his way to Lakeland as we speak.

If Detroit can pick up some of his contract , the Mets should look into this.

Opening the door wide open for the Dtrain… scary and intriguing at the same time. I think they start him off in the rotation, but on a very very short leash

Whats interesting when you have a look through his R/L splits is how he doesn’t have any.
Yet in his good years, he killed LH hitters, but RH have consistency throughout his career hit him about the same from his good years to bad years. The difference is LH hitters.
He might be worth a look because that is something you may be able to work with and fix.

As crazy as this sounds, I think the Tigers could win the division this year. The Twins will be tough, but that’s it for the division, Chicago has a couple starters but the rest of the team is on par with the Nationals, Cleveland has a ton of young talent but looks a year or so away and the Royals are the Royals.
I’m not a Tigers fan by any stretch, but they are not far from being really good and it just might jell a little early.

The Tigers have a ton of money coming off the books after this season. With the right signings, they could become the definite favorites in the Central next season.

Sorry, nobody’s buying…

Angels need a lefty out of the bullpen. They could pick him up and get rid of either Palmer or Stokes.

An above article has the D’backs looking for back of the rotation help, could make some sense if the Tigers kick in money
