Hmmmm. At this point Pedro doesn’t want to think about whether he’ll play this year or not…. especially while he works out in D.R. and Miami to prepare to play this year.

I really think the o’s are on the right track even with how badly they’ve been playing.
P.S. U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A.

I hate listening to O’s fans on the radio call in and complain that the front office isn’t doing enough, Peter Angelos doesn’t care about fans, Andy MacPhail isn’t scouting well enough, Rick Dempsey should GM, blah blah blah. Personally, I don’t think there’s a guy the O’s can legitimately sign to a contract that’s appealing to both sides who can turn this franchise around. It’s going to have to be the emerging young talent. That’s the only way to attract veteran Type A players. The O’s are lucky that with MASN and the Nats getting Strasburg that they don’t have to worry about financial woes dragging them down. They just need to maintain a stable pool of minor leaguers and patiently promote them when they can contribute in the most difficult division in baseball. All they can do is help young players with good potential develop, guys like Wieters, Jones, Scott, Roberts, Arrieta, Matusz, etc. If all are healthy and be consistent and not streak hitters, they’re a competative team.

The Cubs were very stable under MacFail. Consistent second division finishes year after year. And I see his performance has been the same in Baltimore. He will keep the money coming in though. And the losses. I see he just picked up another ex-Cub failure. Always learning from his past mistakes, that’s Andy! The Cubs farm system was pathetic under MacFail, let’s see if anything is different in Baltimore.

ya i could see AA listening to offers on Marcum and maybe even Litsch…they can quite likely be replaced from within, or even a solid free agent when they’re truly ready to compete.

Brewers need pitching, Padres need a bat, get-R done!

I’d be shocked to see Marcum go he’s like the pitching leader now and still young.

“Adam Everett said “I haven’t heard that, but great team, great city, and it sounds interesting,”
Saying all the right things Adam!

If the Brewers were smart they’d trade Prince for pitching….don’t lose him for nothing.

The Orioles need to hire top scouts, and be commited to developing young players. Trying to sign free agents at this point will not really help this team unless it leads to young picks in the future. While the Orioles are up aganist it this year everybody needs to show patience. The question that arises of course is what is Angelos commitment? He is the one who disembowled the core of this team.

Colby Lewis is the FA WAR leader for the record. Tied with Andy P.
