R. Perez has had some wildly erratic stretches. If I were the Indians, I’d say yes for any usable outfielder, specifically a center fielder. Trevor Crowe has been starting in Sizemore’s place, and god love him, he tries, but he’s truly awful out there. Sizemore may not be the same when he returns from injury. It would be better if they had that possibility covered.

I would like to see the Yankees go after Perez, I think he’s a upgrade and or nice addition to the lefty situation in the pen for the yanks. I’ve been impressed as to what I’ve see out of perez against us, so that’s all I can go by… I wouldn’t go too crazy however, his team control for three more years is nice. Let me know what you guys think about this and who would the Yankees have to offer?

Lopez has been pretty good for the Bucs this year. Now that they have Will Ledezma, perhaps they can trade Lopez and get something decent for him.

What about (now Free Agent) Nate Robertson (just released by Florida). Do you see him signing?
Earlier I had pondered a Dunn and possibly Slaten trade to the Rays, now I think a Willingham and Slaten deal would make sense for Tampa (if the Nats are willing to deal both Dunn and Willingham). Willingham can DH this year, replace Crawford if he leaves next and Slaten would be a nice cheap lefty for them for the next 3 and a half years. The return would be solid but it wouldn’t have to be prohibitive (i.e. no Hellickson, Davis ect.). The only real quesiton would be if the Nats would be willing to trade both their big bats.

The only thing the Dodgers can get back for Sherrill is an empty locker and a bottle of hand sanitizer.
