Of course they should trade Capps if they can get good value from him. They are now 12 games back in the NL East and 10 games back in the wildcard. Unless a player is a cornerstone guy to build around, he should be on the block.

I bet that if someone asked Andy the same question 3 or 4 years ago his answer would probably be the same. I’ve always heard that he is a guy that doesn’t want to play as he gets up there in age, yet he’s already 38 and still pitching, not that I’m complaining, I’ve always loved the guy and I got his autograph a few years ago.And I agree with bjsguess, Capps should absolutely be traded as long as Rizzo can get a package that’s worth it.

Please trade David Aardsma, I have a heartattack every time he comes to the mound. He’s the most stressful closer in all of baseball. For the love of god, trade him!

Yeah and we should throw in League as well way too inconsistent and neither of them are clutch at all. bullpen is our biggest need by far.

IMO, the Metsblog feature was more interesting in terms of what the Phillies might do, rather than the Mets, since it pretty much reviewed what most MLBTR readers already know about the Mets’ possible pitching targets. Still, interesting to contemplate Amaro’s next move.

sometimes its frustrating that the cardinals seem to have a refusal to invest big on international signings. their is matias..almost was that other outfielder last year who signed with the dbacks. can’t remember his name.
but thats about it.

Matias ($1.5M, 2010), Mateo ($3.1M, 2009), Roberto de la Cruz ($1.1M, 2008). While they may not make a huge splash, they still tend to spend a decent amount. Sure, it’d be nice if they would spend more internationally. However, I’d much prefer to see them spend more in the draft.
