No surprise that a 29 year old guy hitting .185/.255/.222 over 244 plate appearances at AAA gets released.

But he can jump over a car.
Tim Valencia
i think his career has jumped the car.

This baseball burn of the week brought to you by Tim Valencia.
BWOzar
Hahaha, I completely forgot about that. Should be a useful skill for the Newark Bears in a few weeks, right?

nooo!!! long island ducks better get on this!
Ian_Smell
I thought this said Jeremy Guthrie at first.
Aaron Haker
.185/.255/.222 in AAA in the ORIOLES organization. Maybe he should be playing for the Pirates AA team. He’d be a star.

Is this a move to make room on the 40 man roster? They could be cooking up a deal where they bring in extra players. A 4 for 2 perhaps.
Fangaffes
I wouldn’t be surprised if Theo picks him up again for a September call-up.

Poor Joey. That car jump thing was years ago and is still what he is remembered for today. Not much on the field rememberance I guess.
Wilsonl
Used to be good, eh.
johnsilver
he will show up on 9/1 for a contender as a pinch runner once again.. just like every season. This guy is the 21st century version of 80’s player Lashelle Tarver.. Can run like the Dickens, but should never have a bat in his hand.
Dave Marszalek
he was a nice base stealer, but thats about it
Bob
He still hasn’t figured out how to steal 1st base.
dodgerskingsfan
dodgers probably will jump on this

You know, it really does say something about your career when you get released from the Orioles AAA team. How hard can it be to stick with the AAA team of the worst MLB team?
