That was quick, he must be donezies
Dave_Gershman
Indeed.
It’s still a shame to see Carillo not succeed. He was really good at Miami. I hope Carlos Gutierrez isn’t the next Cesar Carillo.

Woah, did Ruben find a reliever who is actually worse than Danys Baez and David Herndon??
MQAB
herndon fills his role well. explain how he’s bad.
phil33
Herndon? While his numbers I guess you could say are mediocre, we all know hes not a good pitcher and frankly this time of year he shouldn’t be out there at all.
myname_989
Herndon hardly ever comes into a meaningful game. He’s a mop up guy / long reliever. The only time he’s come into a meaningful game is if some of the other guys are unavailable on a particular nights, and Charlie wants someone to go more than one inning. Herndon’s numbers aren’t that bad for the role that he’s in.

Additionally, he is a Rule 5 pick costing them virtually nothing. Unlike Baez, who signed a multiyear contract and spent much of the season giving up big runs in close games.

Don’t think the exist in robertson’s case, but you watch.. Somebody else will sign him and next season on opening day, he will be allowing astronomical amounts of runs to score yet again.
This guy is as horrid as they get, but somehow always finds a job.. it’s amazing..
Nicolas_C
He has a serviceable *left* arm that throws in the neighborhood of 90 mph, that’s how
ISeeYaRodAllen
nate robertson is so awful. he won’t get another chance. he’s a good, loyal team mate but that can only get you so far.
as a side note, how about that ricky porcello. dude looks great now. he is the antithesis of robertson and its great the tigers finally cut the chord on robertson and willis.

Note to self: being a left handed pitcher means more contracts.

I think it really says something wen other teams are claiming the padres castoffs rather than the other way around
JAmarcus
Carrillo has had a difficult time bouncing back from T-john surgery. It’s worth taking a chance and seeing if he can physically adjust. He was good before he got hurt..it may come back. The Padres have some P depth and were ready to let him move on.
