Interesting. It is close to his home, I just wonder if he will regain his velocity back. 81-82 MPH wont get you anywhere in the Majors but I still have confidence that he will be 90% by Spring Training and have his old sinker back. I’d like to see the Nats sign Webb or Kuroda…And trade Chris Marrero, Brad Meyers, and Brad Peacock for Matt Garza.

I don’t know if they’d trade Marrero because they are going to need a 1B if/when they don’t resign Dunn.

Well the Nats need pitching more than Chris Marrero

I actually mentioned Webb in another Nationals post.

I’d rather have them sign someone like Kuroda as Span mentioned over Webb. They’ve played this game before with Wang and so far they have gotten nothing from him.
Furthermore, the A’s got little from Sheets. The Cards got little from Penny. The Rangers have got little from Harden.
The track record for these deals aren’t good, so I wouldn’t be inclined to make this deal if I were the Nats.

Right you are. And remember, the Nats have money to spend, so there isn’t really a point of holding back and not going for a “sure thing”

Man I miss Webb. Arguably the best pitcher in baseball during his peak and he hasn’t pitched for two years. Now he’s topping out at 81 MPH.

yup, webb = prior
